Ok, I finally found something that I'm sure you all would like to know, so todays strategy topic is...
[center][red][h2]Dodging Final Smashes![/h2][/red][/center]
Well most of them are pretty easy to dodge, but there are some which are pretty hard to dodge, Namely Pit, Peach, and Dedede. So I'll go through all the Characters and give you the best way to dodge their FS.
[red]Pit[/red]: The trick with Pits is to never move in a straight line, cut back and forth, jump, then use a hard drop, or a controlled drop, and lastly never stop Dodging! When on the ground roll dodge as often as possible, same goes for when you're in the air. Also try moving in a clockwise circle pattern.
[red]Wario[/red]: This comes down to skill and reaction time. I suggest getting by the edge and hanging on to it. His increase in speed may make the person using him, nervous near the edge.
[red]Zero suit Samus[/red]: This one is pretty simple, just keep your distance.
[red]Ike[/red]: Well this one can be bothersome, the range of the initial attack is actually a bit higher and farther than you would think. The best thing to do is try to stay above him, AKA footstool jump, just remember you can only footstool 3 times per for every normal jump(max 6) and the height decreases dramatically after each jump.
[red]Pokemon Trainer[/red]: Well it's not that hard to dodge, it's a matter of positioning. when he uses his final smash jump behind him. This is one of only a few Final smashes that activates in real time, so you have more than enough time to get behind him.
[red]Diddy Kong[/red]: Try to prevent this one from happening, it's a real b****. The only good news is that it's hard to control. Stay by the edge and hang when he aims for you drop then recover, if he heads your way jump over him and run to the other side, repeat.
[red]Meta knight[/red]: Very similar to Ikes, only it doesn't have the height that Ikes has. So, verily, stay away.
[red]Snake[/red]: Well now this one is interesting, it has lag. Watch the targeting reticule and when he fires you have about a second before it actually hits. Try very hard not to get cornered, to do so run in a circular pattern, and make short cuts and random moves.
[red]Lucas and Ness[/red]: Not the easiest to dodge, but not the hardest either. Watch the sky and roll dodge often, don't worry about getting attacked, everyone else will be too busy dodging as well, and Lucas or Ness can't move while using it.
[red]Sonic[/red]: This one does more damage the faster you move, so the person using it will be zipping back and forth across the stage. The trick here is to time your jumps and air dodging with the zipping. Try very hard not to jump too far into the air, as it makes you more of a target.
[red] King DeDeDe[/red]: This one is tough to not take any damage from. The only thing you can do is stay in the air, or behind an obstacle(doesn't always work). I can't even fully dodge this one. Going under the stage doesn't work either, as they'll spawn under it then fly at you.
[red]Olimar and Pikmin[/red]: Face it you're going to take damage from this one, unless you have a Starman. Just try to stay away from the impact when he comes crashing down. [yellow]Pokemon Trainer can minimize damage by switching pokemon, but only a little bit.[/yellow]
[red]Mario[/red]: This one is simple to dodge, you can air dodge through the middle of it, or get behind him. The closer you are the better your chance of dodging it.
[red]Link and Toon Link[/red]: Going over or under him is the best strategy, but stay under or over him. It's very risky to stay behind him, cause then he can whip around and get you.
[red]Kirby[/red]: This one has a set radius, and you really only have to keep your distance from him, on small stages this is very hard.
[red]Pikachu[/red]: This is a tricky one. The only good news is that it's hard to control. Basically you wanna keep moving, and dodging, look out for the charges he gives off. When he gives off a charge he doesn't do damage for about a second. Keep away from the center.
[red]Fox, Falco, and Wolf[/red]: Pretty much the same thing. Don't ever get on top of the Landmaster, and if you somehow end up there you can just run off the back. Never run off the front, you'll be face to face with the cannon. The best thing to do is to get near the edge and hang on to it. [yellow]The cannon can shoot through the stage, so nowhere is safe, except under the stage.[/yellow]
[red]Samus[/red]: Well this one just sucks, for those getting hit with it. Be careful the user can change the angle slightly up or down. The best thing to do is to get over her and behind her ASAP.
[red]Zelda and Sheik[/red]: Pretty much the same thing, Zeldas arrow knocks you up, while Sheiks knocks you back. Same strategy as with Links, don't get in front of or behind them.
[red]Bowser[/red]: Well the best you can do is to stay by the edge and run, or stay under the stage. But don't worry too much, not many people use Bowser anyways.
[red]Donkey Kong[/red]: If your opponent can't keep a rhythm then just stand back and watch the show, if they can keep a rhythm, then stand FAR back and watch the show. You'll know if they're keeping the beat, if DK claps after every 3 bangs, not to mention the sound waves will be real big.
[red]Yoshi[/red]: He can fly and shoot fire balls, so you're really not safe anywhere, but you can minimize damage by making him go up and down(jump and air dodge), and go side to side(run and roll). Also you can tell when he's about to spit fire, cause he throws his head back before doing so.
[red]Peach[/red]: This is the trickiest one to dodge, there are only 2 ways to dodge it, and one includes suicide. The other also puts you in harms way. [yellow]Warning, this is very hard to pull off.[/yellow] When Peach gets the Smash ball, run to an edge that you can hang from, and face away from it. When she uses it, double jump into the air backwards, so that you are just off the edge, but close enough to grab it (characters with a tether recovery work a bit better). You should grab the ledge about a third of the way through her dance, hang on for a second or 2, then do a roll(just press shield). The roll will make you invulnerable for a half second longer than jumping up or climbing up. If all this is done with perfect timing(It has to be perfect) then you will not be put to sleep.[yellow]I can pull it off occasionally.[/yellow]
[red]Ice Climbers[/red]: Pretty much you wanna stay above it, on a high ledge or something, or you can use footstool jumps to stay above it.
[red]Marth[/red]: Stay in the air, as often as possible, the user should be hesitant to use it in the air, cause if he misses he might KO himself(there's a good chance too). People with fast reflexes can dodge it with perfect timing. If you want you can even lure him into the air, and then dodge it at the last second to send him off the screen.
[red]Luigi[/red]: Although it has a set radius, it lingers on the stage for awhile. The only thing you have to do is keep your distance from him. So if you don't get caught in it then just stand back and stay out.
[red]Captain Falcon[/red]: Well you really just need to keep your distance from him. That's hard though seeing as Falcon can close distances real fast. Also the range of this attack is pretty big, so watch out.
[red]Lucario[/red]: His FS always starts in the center of the stage, so go to the very edge and wait, when he gets real close to you, jump up and stay as high as you can for as long as you can.
[red]R.O.B.[/red]: He doesn't flinch when he uses this, so don't bother fighting him. The best thing you can do is stay above him and out of his reach. [yellow]Remember he can still use all his attacks while using this.[/yellow]
[red]Mr. Game and Watch[/red]: This one is tough to avoid. He's big and his tentacles give him some good reach too. what you can do is stay above and behind him, those are his only blind spots so use them to your advantage.
[red]Ganondorf[/red]: When he gets the smash ball, get off the ground if your in front of him, or he'll stun you. Other than that it's the same as the other Zelda characters, stay out from in front of him.
[red]Jigglypuff[/red]: If your on a big stage then you have nothing to worry about. Just don't be too close to her when she yells "Jiggly", or you'll be pushed off the stage(sometimes). This attack has devastating effects when used on smaller stages though, especially if the person using it knows what their doing.
Well I hope this helps you survive longer on the battle field, as I said earlier most of this is common knowledge, but I know that there is someone out there who will benefit from this.
[yellow]If you have any info you'd like to submit just post it and I'll add it after testing it[/yellow]
[green]Also, I'll try and make a youtube video showing how to dodge Final Smashes, as soon as I get a chance[/green]
